Dr. Mina Hanna is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, University of Kentucky, United States. He received medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Alexandria, Egypt. He finished pediatrics residency at St.John Hospital, Detroit, then completed his neonatology fellowship at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.
During his fellowship, he was interested in studying biomarkers of acute kidney injury in the neonatal population. He is eager to explore and contribute to the vast, fascinating field of neonatal research in an academic setting through designing and conducting quality improvement projects, working effectively with other researchers and support staff, and disseminating research results through manuscripts and presentations.
Dr. Mina Hanna is a board certified member and has membership in many professional societies. He received several honors and awards. He has peer-reviewed publications in the field of pediatrics.
Dr. Mina Hanna research is focusing on understanding the mechanisms of renal dysfunction and injury that commonly occur in premature infants, and to develop better detection strategies and treatment options to address this important medical problem.
